The 5 dimensions we assess
Rather than just measuring or disclosing impact, this assessment focuses on whether impact is truly integrated into how the company is run — across five dimensions.
Strategy
Clarity of policy and commitment on creating impact
Measurement
How impact measurement and evaluation are carried out
Organization
How the organizational and driving structures are set up
Disclosure
Status of disclosure and stakeholder dialogue
Application
Applying measurement results to management and decision-making
How to read the levels
Each question is answered on a 4-point scale, and the average across all 20 questions maps to one of 5 maturity levels.
Level 1
Initial
Awareness of social issues exists, but systematic efforts have not yet begun.
Level 2
Forming
The link to the business is beginning to be recognized, and basic metrics are starting to be visualized.
Level 3
Developing
Systematic KPIs are set, and a regular measurement/reporting cycle is established.
Level 4
Integrated
Impact data is integrated into management decisions and capital allocation, and actually used in judgment.
Level 5
Advanced
The impact approach extends beyond the company itself to industry standards, peers, and policy.
This framework was independently developed by Impact Management Review. It evaluates companies based on publicly available information (sustainability reports, integrated reports, impact reports, official websites, media coverage, etc.).
