Framework Usage Guide
There are many frameworks used in impact management, and which one to choose depends on “where to start” and “what you’re using it for.” We’ve organized how to choose by purpose.
I want to start impact management from scratch
Start by organizing the cause-and-effect between social impact and your business with a “theory of change.” First map the logical structure with Theory of Change, then visualize the chain of activities, outcomes, and impact with a Logic Model.
I want to design metrics to measure impact
Use the IRIS+ impact-metrics database to select KPIs suited to your activities. The IMP framework lets you organize who experienced what change, and how much, across five dimensions.
I want to explain results to investors and stakeholders
Use SROI to monetize social value and present it as return on investment. With B Impact Assessment, you can obtain a third-party evaluation of your overall impact-management level.
